My Class Tenth Board Experience
Hello Everyone ,
Today of all days , I would like to talk about the CBSE Boards and my unique experience with them...
Suddenly, I realise class tenth had approached and frankly , I had always made a game plan to go about the boards but never truly implemented or contemplated it up to that point. I don't want to turn this into one of those sugar coated stories where one finds himself/herself suddenly receiving excellent marks after being obsessive or not even caring for the board exams. All , I am here to do humbly is tell my side and my story in this rat race which we Indian students call - Boards .
Many students feel regret of not being free or living their life during grade tenth but luckily, this feeling was quite minimal for me. Of course, I had my ups and downs. The three quite consequential deep regrets that I remember -
1. There was this state level elocution competition that I was selected from the school and refused to go to because it stood on the precipice of my pre-board exams. I still remember the topic - vasudhaiva kutumbakam
2. In my society ( NRI Complex ) , we have a 5 day Ganpati festival with joyous music , food , dancing and much more. I only attended two of the five days and I still regret it to this day.
3. My dad had invited me to travel to the US for a corporate trip but I had to sorrowfully refuse because it coincided 3 days with my periodic test 1 .
Coming back to the topic at hand , I thoroughly enjoyed my life during tenth. I went to each and every birthday party I was graciously invited to , went to the local cinema and mall with my friends , travelled out of state 5 times and out of country only once during my school year. I binged watch almost regularly ( It is quite my fond memory that just a day before the SST Board exam , I was binge watching ' Mamla Legal Hai ' on Netflix ) . I practiced some of my hobbies and regularly did things I liked. My most fond memory is during the boards I used to walk 2 hours in the complex where I would continuously talk with my best friends which really helped me to relax. A quite rememberable moment was during our board preparatory leaves where I constantly talked during the evenings which really helped overcome the forthcoming isolation. What I mean to convey in the end that it is true that I quite enjoyed my tenth , but as I got my result there is always a tinge of disappointment in oneself that you could have don't better ( PS: I sent my maths for re-evaluation ) .
On a daily basis , I sit in bed and think about the questions I made a blunder in or of i could have just done better, I would have gotten an extra one or two marks . At the end of day , just for the momentary boost of confidence and ego when you top your school or district , class 10th results do not really matter in the long game. It would not have made a difference if I had even scored 99.8 or 99.6 , I would still sob over the loss of one or two marks.
However , there is one point to note that good tenth board marks does help increase your reputation not
In a nutshell, I still regret not enjoying more in class tenth yet at the same time, I still regret not having scored better. I really hope that I learnt something from this experience and I would considerately urge my juniors to not take stress .
only in your friend circle or between relatives but also for college applications and job recruiting . To be honest
class tenth boards only hold a singular purpose of just being an introduction to the world of consequences and
stress. Boards are just that , plainly an exam which we all must take at one point in time .
